Fashion’s in my blood – everywhere I go I observe trends, I look at people’s faces, their shoes, their clothes, their accessories, their facial expressions, the way they walk, they manner with which they hold their bags, what they look at, what catches their attention, the comments they make, how they preen in the mirror…
I stare at mannequins on display, analyse the permutations and combinations of how different layers can be matched and coordinated.
I bask in the luxury of retail therapy, breathe in the fresh sizzling smell of fresh fashion and non-stop action in the world of Style.
I feel the soft fabrics, touch the solidness of material, listen to voices that tell me what to look out for, smell the sweet spicy air that surrounds beauty.
Sounds like Rebecca Bloomwood from Confessions of a Shopaholic? I’m not surprised, ‘cos I do identify with her so much, but don’t jump to conclusions yet because the last thing I want to be mistaken for is a dumb blonde who googles her task questions practically word-for-word. Heh. By the way, I do love Isla Fisher – she’s adorable

Fashion in the name of Leighton Meester

Yes, our gorgeous Blair Waldorf of Gossip Girl fame has launched her singing career and maybe rebelling against her Park Avenue princess alter ego, for she has “evolved” with an edgier, sexier look, complete with dramatic smoky eye make-up. Great outfits! Short, sharp and fashion-forward – just the way I like it!

Lace is SO HOT now, it’ll be a sin not to own something like one of these!

Are you ready for Mrs Beckham?!

graziadaily.co.uk
It’s been a very fashionable (last) week for Mrs. Beckham, her latest denim collection launched on Net-a-porter.com where you can watch the designer walking around the virtual world, she hosted a private fashion dinner with Harpers Bazaar magazine on Tuesday and then spent Thursday night rubbing shoulders with Kate Moss & Co. at the British Fashion Awards! Black’s the colour du jour for Victoria and the key word is glamour! But it’s paired down, elegant glamour rather than out there more obvious looks! She can do cocktail frocks with eyes closed but Victoria’s not afraid to do daring either- just check out her BFA gown from her very own main line collection. And she wouldn’t be VB without her traffic stopping ensembles, her black leather trench look and metallic jersey pieces from the Victoria Beckham Denim Spring Summer range. *whistles!* – credits to graziadaily.co.uk

How about some Kate Moss???
Did I mention that recently I dreamt of Kate Moss? Like I knew it was her but she looked different in my dream and I was her assistant anyway at some fashion event. She was really eccentric and had her idiosyncrasies. Funny dream that’s pretty unforgettable. But it just shows how much I love her just as much as I love Audrey Hepburn!

Kate Moss & Vivienne Westwood!

vogueidea.files.wordpress.com
“When the British Fashion Council announced it was searching for the style icon who best embodies ‘the spirit of London…as a leading creative fashion capital…’ we couldn’t help but think of Kate Moss.
And last night, sure enough, it was the British supermodel who was finally named as the winner of the London 25 award; a one-off honour to celebrate 25 years of London Fashion Week, voted for by the public, to find someone that makes ‘London a cultural force in the global fashion industry.’
Moss was chosen from 25 names, which now form the British Fashion Council’s ‘Power List’ of the ‘25 most influential people working in Britain’s fashion industry today’.
The supermodel was presented the award by Dame Vivienne Westwood, who also appears on the Power List, and was accompanied by Sir Philip Green, (also a BFC Power Lister).
Moss has made no secret of the fact that she is a huge fan of Vivienne Westwood’s style and it seems the feeling’s mutual. The pair had a bit of a love-in on the red carpet as the designer told us why she thinks Kate is great…” – graziadaily.co.uk
