I’m so excited for Marni for H&M! More so than Versace beacuse I thought the latter’s was a little over the top, and I could hardly find a piece for everyday wear – partly because the designs are meant to be Resort. But anyway, because the collection is officially launched, have some sneaks at this glorious beauties!

Handpicked choice pieces by yours truly, in no particular order, here goes:
Polka dots and Perspex – that’s quirty Italian label Marni for h&m – not to be worn all at once, but mix and match the perplexed designs with simple cuts and colours – you may just achieve everyday wear that are at once elegant yet idiosyncratic.

Part 1 : Tell me I don’t look 25! :/

Guess who else is born on the 20th of Feb??!
my lovely Theodore!~
Then off I went to receive my sponsored luxurious Awapuhi Wild Ginger hair treatment from ActPoint, an established salon at Shaw Tower.

Then it’s time to meet Scott but the heavy downpour was a bitch!
We went around looking for an umbrella and in the end bought a Lavender coloured one at $15 but didn’t manage to use it until after an entire round at Raffles City and Prego, but still couldn’t find a good place to have lunch…

Guess where’s this place? I haven’t been to it before but it’s really cool. What surprised me was that the floor at Long Bar is practically covered with empty peanut shells! The bins must have been really expensive or the waiters are too lazy
nah, joking. It’s just part of…”back to basics heritage”?

pretty amazing how foreigners and expats know some of the places in Singapore so well, and locals like me have never been to the Bar. huh huh!

The Singapore Sling! A must try! It’s pretty sweet and refreshing!

Lunch! Sinful, but it’s my birthday right? *sweeps unpleasant, fatty thoughts away*
After lunch it was a short TRISHAW ride to take a look at Scott’s apartment, like THIS, I’m not kidding

My first time riding on a Trishaw in Singapore I think? Or if I have done it before I really can’t remember!
Was it pure embarrassment or adventure, whatever. I was out to enjoy myself

After a pop of confetti and party knick knacks I have about 5 little gifts waiting for me! And a card to “LIL BEE” Awww…

Yeah, very smart, practical gifts there, Scott. Thank you, Stranger
Followed by a chilling out session of white wine before heading out to dinner with Mr. T! Simple but delicious Japanese fare at Thomson, forgot the restaurant’s name but it’s the same row as Casuarina prata…

Finished by a Yakult float! woohoo!~ It tastes as pretty as it looks!

And we got a birthday cake for me, awwww …
Was trying so many times for the candle to be lit up but the breeze just keeps extinguishing it, but eventually I made my 25th birthday wish!
It was a great birthday with my friends and loved ones who remembered (through Facebook or not) and wished me with all sincerity heh heh!
And the most wonderful surprise of all….
♥ I thought all was lost, that I’ll never hear from you today, but you completed my day with a very special n beautiful
Happy Birthday
♥
Another year older now, and wiser I must be…
1. Manage my finances better
2. Get my eyes LASIK fixed
3. Get my driving licence
4. Achieve a certain memorable milestone in my career
5. Do a major show/assignment besides photography projects
6. Find a steady boyfriend (ha! I’m half joking)
7. Work out diligently at Fitness First
8. Sign up for an artistic masterpiece course
9. Begin Japanese/French class
10. Vocal training class/ Dance class
This sounds so much like New Year’s Resolutions! But well I live on dreams, don’t you? It’s like short term gratifications really spur me forward, dangle a carrot here, jump a little nearer to the destination, yippeee!!
xoxo,
Melissa Jane
