Polaroid Cameras make a dramatic comeback after being ousted by the advent of digital cameras and their rapid advancement in our everyday lives! I chanced upon a particular page in FashionMagazine.com that talks about this, and I must say that instant cameras are special in a way that you can actually keep the photo in your wallet, your bag, wherever you deem significant, and even sign your names on it – it has a certain sentimental value that the digital camera lacks. Not to mention that the whole feel of the pictures taken is definitely nostalgic and wistful. For camera-loving people like me (especially after this blog was started), perhaps having our own polaroid cameras isn’t such a bad idea!

The Impossible Project (note the irony!) aims to re-start production of analog instant film for vintage Polaroid cameras in 2010. This whole idea is really cool & creative, and I totally support it!
1948 – The Birth of Instant Photography…
“Production of analog Instant Film stopped in June 2008, closing the factories in Mexico (Instant Packfilm production) and the Netherlands (Instant Integral production)…Impossible b.v. has acquired the complete film production equipment in Enschede (NL) from Polaroid, has signed a 10-year lease agreement on the factory building; and has engaged the most experienced team of Integral Film experts worldwide. The Impossible mission is NOT to re-build Polaroid Integral film but (with the help of strategic partners) to develop a new product with new characteristics, consisting of new optimised components, produced with a streamlined modern setup. An innovative and fresh analog material, sold under a new brand name that perfectly will match the global re-positioning of Integral Films.” – the-impossible-project.com

Memories of my part-time employment before university started, at a holiday marketing company
We used Polaroid cameras to take pictures with clients and it was really fun watching them come to life from just a blank sheet of film!
And most recently, at Charlotte’s 21st!
And Beatrice herself just bought a Polaroid camera too, together with her friends. She recommended this website, mitsuki-tk, which looks really cute and interesting! You can actually order your personal little polaroid toy from there (delivered right to your doorstep), and they have so many different designs and colours!
Her testimonial: “I can ensure you Mitsuki-tk provides excellent service to you, making sure you receive your item in the utmost perfect condition even through mailing. Furthermore, they offer you great and better deals than what you get outside, so its time to get yours if you haven’t or are interested to get one, or get it as a CHRISTMAS GIFT for your friends and loved ones!”
